Framing is coming along.
Amy and I have been married for over 30 years. We have owned several homes but this is our first time to build. This will be where we retire (hopefully in about 10 years). We really like the Tideland Haven plan but wanted several changes so, we had a draftsman draw it up for us.

It's Friday and the framers will not work this weekend. Quite a bit accomplished this week.
Walls are beginning to take shape.

Framers were concerned about the pitch of the roof. They were not sure how the trusses were going to work out to get the ceiling height correct with height of the walls.
We showed the framers some pictures and they realized the walls needed to go higher. Also, there was concern about the transoms that will be over the doors & windows in the living area. With the headers at the height shown above they would not fit.
Solution was to move the headers up and build a "pony wall" up to 12 ft.
